We've created a specific risk profile for each network we participate with the aim to provide our stakers with a comprehensive understanding of the various risks associated with staking different tokens on our network.

- Downtime slashing: Extended downtime of our validator results in downtime slashing, which causes a loss of staked assets.
- Compromised key: The compromise of a validator key can lead to the hijacking of the validator by a malicious actor, potentially resulting in network disruption or loss of our staking bond, which would result in reduced rewards for delegators.
Our solution
- Maintaining a highly available infrastructure that includes a main validator and a backup validator, and use of a manual failover mechanism to ensure seamless switchovers between the two validators in case of a system failure.
- Storing the validator key in a secure cold storage, utilizing separate proxy keys with restricted permissions for daily operations, and disallowing direct asset transactions with these keys to minimize the risk of unauthorized access and potential loss of our bond.
